Kaleidoscope and Teleidoscope sculptures
Wonderscopes by Alisa Ruzavina
Two unique interactive sculptures designed by artist Alisa Ruzavina for The Old Diorama Art Centre. We were tasked with the engineering aspect of this project.
The kaleidoscopic effect is achieved via internal mirrors and a rotating drum. This was filled with artworks developed by the artist through collaborative workshops with the local community
The teleidoscope similarly operates using mirrors, but instead rotating on its axis creating its visual effect from the surrounding environment.
Produced by @olddiorama in partnership with Camden Council, @fyaonroad @comchampscamden, UAL Central Saint Martins @unioftheartslondon @csm_news, through T-Factor and @regentsplace. The project is funded by Camden Council, EU Horizon 2020 Research & Innovation Programme and @Britishlandplc.
